Welcome fellow SDRE fan. Hereafter you will recieve and send email to
sdre-l@sixfootone.com. Please take a few minutes to read this notice
before posting. This document contains important information about the
SDRE-L and a few suggestions to help the List continue to be a
constuctive and peaceful environment for the fans. Save this message for
future reference.

This mailing list's purpose is to discuss issues about (and relating
directly to) Sunny Day Real Estate and promote tape trading among fans.
Off topic posts are discouraged and disregard of this policy will not be
tolerated.

Know when to reply privately and when to reply publicly (posting).
Personal requests and inquiries are always best suited for private
channels of communication. Personal attacks and "flame" posts will not be
tolerated when posted. If you really must be a jerk, be one privately.
Also, when replying to a post, remember to quote the relevant portions of
the letter you are referring to. Too many times do people reply without
quoting and nobody knows whet you're talking about. Worse, when someone
quotes a lengthy post only to add "Me too." Please be courteous and
considerate when posting to the SDRE-L.

On the "old" SDRE-L there were over 300 subscribers. Expect a lot of
email every day. Also, please understand that every post you make is
recieved by many many people. This is like speaking in front of a large
auditorium. Before you post, pause to consider whether you would say the
same thing into a microphone to be broadcast in front of an audience of
300. This way many redundant and irrelevant "junk" posts can be avoided
and precious bandwidth can be concerved.

Never post to the list "unsubscribe" messages. Unsubbing can
also be done via email by sending email to Majordomo@sixfootone.com and
typing only "Unsubscribe SDRE-L your@email.address" in the body of the
message. You've been informed and shouldn't need further reminders.

A FAQ is planned to be posted on a monthly basis.

Thanks for joining the SDRE-L and for reading this letter. I hope your
stay on the List is a good one. We're fortunate to have many
great fans on this list, and sometimes a little message by someone
in the band will appear or a close friend will come by. Remember that
what you write is read by many people and sometimes by people "higher up
