Los Angeles, CA - John Anson Ford Theater - 9/29/2000
By Thomas Dalton

This venue was perfect for Sunny Day and their music.
It's an outdoor theater that looks like it usually
holds Shakepearian plays. There are castle towers to
the left and right of the stage. It was a slightly
chilly night but not bad. Jeremy just had a white
t-shirt, so I guess it wasn't too cold. In the
background were some green trees. It had a very
outdoorsy feel. I almost expected to hear a stream in
the background and a campfire The setlist as I recall
was identical to the following night. They opened with
"Pheurton Skeurto" and closed with "The Rising Tide".
Great setlist!!! The band and audience had a great
rapport. Jeremy was saying that the next song was
their oldest song they wrote together and some guy
yelled out , "Bucket of Chicken". Dan says back, " We
aren't playing "Bucket of Chicken", dude!!" Everybody
laughed. Someone also asked Jeremy if he was going to
do another solo album. He said "eventually". Overall
it was a great experience. The band was great; in a
very intimate setting. This was the best SDRE out of
the 3 I"ve seen. WHOOOOHOOOO!!!!
