Sunny Day Real Estate
played a very good set full of energy at the
Guvernment on tuesday night. Joining them was a
keyboardist/guitarist/backup vocalist who looked really young compared
to the rest of them. Not sure who the new bass player is, but it's
definatly someone new for this tour. The played mostly songs from the
new album. Eight songs were played from the new album, 3 songs from
"how it feels...", 2 from the pink album, and 1 from Diary. I was
personally very impressed by their live abilities and thought that many
of songs sounded much better live than listening to the cd.
Songs played (not in order):
guitars and video games
in circles
every shining time you arrive
pillars
killed by an angel
one
disappear
snibe
the ocean
fool in the photograph
tearing in my heart (?)
the rising tide

My only complaint is
lack of Diary material. Other than that, great
show!
